We started the Walkin' Raviolis team because members of our family - Miss Mary & Tina - had been stricken with breast cancer. Tina wanted to do something for all of the survivors out there so she rallied family & friends together and started the Team a couple of years ago.
Once you participate in the event, you will be hooked. The event is so inspirational to me and it's an awesome event to be a part of. The solidarity of everyone coming together for one purpose is so inspiring.
Tina was the most wonderful, caring and inspirational woman I have ever known. She never let the disease get her sprits down. Her positive attitude and carefree way was so infectious. She left her mark on each and every person she came in contact with. She knew how precious life is and she enjoyed it to the very end.
I don't think anyone hasn't been affected by cancer in some way. This walk helps us remember those who have lost the fight, those who have won the fight, but most of all, it allows us to help support those fighting the disease now.
We are all walking for Tina, as well as all of the others who have been touched by this disease. When I walk, I will be thinking of everything she went through and I know she will be there in spirit. She never missed a good party!
