I first got involved with Relay For Life with my sister Maria and my niece Tina. We participated in the Realy For Life event in Vacaville and I was filled with so much joy that I knew I wanted to be a part of it. Tina decided to start the team and we were hooked.
It is hard for me to continue this event without her, but I do it because I want to keep her dream alive and continue to do my part in helping others that are now fighting this disease. Doing a little something like this is better than doing nothing at all.
