This is my 8th year participating in the Relay for Life. I started in Vacaville when one of my co-worker's daughter in her early 20's, was just diagnosed with cancer. At that same time, my niece Tina and my sister in law Mary were also battling breast cancer.
My personal passion for working hard and participating in this event is to keep a promise that I made to Tina. I promised that I would be the one to find a cure for her. But sadly to say Tina went to be with God before I was able to find her a cure.
I will keep on walking to keep that promise in memory of Tina and Miss Mary. One day we will find a cure for all the ones that are out there fighting cancer and that is why I Relay.
My passions in life is to live each day to the fullest and spending time with my darling daughter, my two great loving grandchildren Isabella and Bryce, my husband Joe and our little Miltie-poo Cesar.
